HYTALE IS OFFICIALLY DEAD
The Hytale project from Riot Games and the team behind Hypixel has recently shut down, and its website is no longer accessible. The reason is said to be the game’s expanding scope and people aren’t happy.
Interestingly, I had saved a popular video discussing the messy situation, but the video got taken down. Perhaps Hypixel is really trying to contain the situation for a potential comeback? We shall see.
POLYWORLDS ON HIATUS
Xelanater has been streaming his ever-expanding Polyworld since 9 August 2021. What is a Polyworld? He explains it himself: essentially, going through multiple terrain generators, i.e. upgrading your version over and over again while preserving past progress and chunks from your world. A singular ultimate world!
In August, Xelanater ended Season 4 (Ep 470) of his years-long Polyworld playlist and is putting it on hiatus to focus on one of his other series. He is getting dangerously close to modern Minecraft after all!

15 YEARS OF TREKCRAFT
You’ve sen Star Wars themed builds, but make space for Star Trek! TrekCraft is “Recreating the largest Sci-Fi ships in Minecraft!” – and succeeding if I say so myself! Mere days ago, they premiered the milestone:
“We’re celebrating 15 years since Halkun’s original video ‘Building Megaobjects in Minecraft’ which spawned not one, not two, but 5 Enterprise-D builds! It led to the creation of MineTrek, ST:MC, TrekCraft, and many other servers, and hundreds of Trek themed builds. Thank you Halkun, and thank you to the amazing community which has supported this project for the last 15 years 💖”
The Complete Original 2010 Full-Scale Enterprise D on Planet Minecraft (Iconic, you likely saw it before!)
Their website stays true to the retro scifi aesthetic, though I can’t tell if I’m missing audio. Has a DYNMAP.
WESTEROSCRAFT IS 13+
The grand WesterosCraft server is “dedicated to recreating the land of Westeros in blocks, with the end goal of creating an RPG.” Westeros is the world setting of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice And Fire.
Their team features some real World Edit nerds who have found many unique ways to make the most of it over the past years to advance the project. E.g. Tutorial: Adjacency Masks, Gradients and River scripts..
